Minority Mentor Program Director:
Dr. Michelle Currie, Director of Federal TRIO Programs
Dr. Currie received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Education in Education and Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. She received her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Mercer University.

Dr. Currie has worked with Federal TRIO Programs for over 10 years. The programs she currently oversees include:
- Upward Bound
- Educational Opportunity Center
- Student Support Services
In addition, she has responsibilities for
- Minority Affairs
- Opportunity Scholars Pre-Orientation Activity
Dr. Currie is also a point-of-contact for students who are a witness to or a victim of discrimination.
Minority Mentor Program Advisor:
Taylor Jessamy, Counselor, Student Support Services
Ms. Jessamy is originally from Washington D.C. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Hampton University in Communicative Sciences & Disorders with a minor in Leadership Studies. Ms. Jessamy completed her graduate studies at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where she received a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Administration & Services. She currently serves as a Counselor in Mercer University TRIO Programs/Student Support Services.

Minority Mentor Program Advisor: Ken Blair, Educational Specialist, Upward Bound
Mr. Blair received a Bachelor of Applied Science in Organizational Leadership with a minor in Education from Mercer University. He received a Master of Business Administration from Brenau University. Prior to joining Federal TRIO Programs in 2017, he served as an Associate Director of Financial Aid for 3 years at Mercer University.
