The Minority Mentor Program (MMP)  aims to provide a campus climate that allows minority students to function within their unique cultural frameworks. The Minority Mentor Program provides mentoring, tutoring, cultural events and service learning opportunities. Participants in the Minority Mentor Program select their mentor after attending the Bear Launch program that takes place the week before the academic year starts. The overall objective of the program is to provide services that positively impact the retention and graduation rates of minority students. All incoming first year students are welcome to participate in the Minority Mentor Program. Admittance to the Bear Launch program is on a first-come first-served basis. However, any programming sponsored by the MMP is open to the entire campus during the academic year. We encourage the entire Mercer community to attend MMP sponsored programming!
