Tracy Artis, M.P.A.  Executive Director, Federal TRIO Programs

Michelle CurrieMrs. Artis serves as director for Upward Bound-Bibb, Upward Bound-BHW, Educational Opportunity Center, Student Support Services and the Office of Nontraditional and Evening Services (ONES Program). In addition, she also has responsibilities for Minority Affairs, the Minority Mentors and Opportunity Scholars Pre-Orientation Programs. A member of the University community since 1995, she previously served as director of the Office of Nontraditional and Evening Services, associate director of the Educational Opportunity Center and a graduate program specialist in Mercer’s Tift College of Education.  Ms. Artis earned her Bachelor of Science in political science from the University of Central Arkansas and Master of Public Administration from Arkansas State University.

Nicole Small, M.A., LAPC, Assistant Director, Student Support Services & Minority Mentor Program Advisor       

HeadshotNicole Small is a native of Atlanta, Georgia.  Nicole has completed her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University, and attended Mercer University and earned a BA in Biology. Nicole has worked at Mercer University for over 10 years as a TRIO professional, additionally garnering experience as a student affairs professional. As Assistant Director, Nicole’s focus is on helping students get to their desired educational goal through innovative wraparound services. She currently serves as the Assistant Director of Opportunity Scholars in Mercer University TRIO Programs/Student Support Services.

Ken Blair, M.B.A. Academic Coordinator, Upward Bound & Minority Mentor Program Advisor

Minority Mentor Program Advisor Ken Blair Mr. Blair received a Bachelor of Applied Science in Organizational Leadership with a minor in Education from Mercer University. He received a Master of Business Administration from Brenau University. Mr. Blair is currently a doctorial candidate in the Doctor of Education Leadership in Higher Education. Prior to joining Federal TRIO Programs in 2017, he served as an Associate Director of Financial Aid for 3 years at Mercer University.
